TrackToMe

The proprietary bar code tracking system employed by TrackToMe, allows customers to track and control product flow within their own facility. For many years most companies have been satisfied with the point to point package tracking systems offered by UPS and FedEx. For most companies, the internal tracking of products before and after the actual shipping is problematic, unless a coherent data base management system is in place.

The communication between shipping companies and their final destination has always been sporadic and at times, downright unreliable. The receiver had no prior warning of back orders, short shipments, or “wrong order pulled” until the truck hit the dock; by then it was too late, resulting in wasted time and money lost.

Our web based bar code system provides the shipper, receiver and end user with real time information necessary for all three to run their businesses efficiently and cost effectively. The receiver can view their truck being “built” at the exact time each item is scanned on a loaded for delivery. This enables the receiver to be informed of back- orders, short shipments or incorrect orders before the truck leaves the dock. The order can be flagged as incomplete, corrected and re-deployed saving valuable time for both shipper and receiver.

The last phase of this real time solution was to employ the use of GPS fleet management devices and mobile computer scanners for end user delivery drivers in the field. With real time technology, gone are the days of repeated calls for inventory or delivery updates. Detailed in transit information can be accessed by a few clicks of the mouse by any authorized personnel.

Once the inventory has arrived at its final destination verification of delivery is a must. The users receive an email and electronic signature from a mobile computer that has scanned the product from the trailer to the customer’s receiving dock. This leaves an electronic paper trail of date, time, and signature, keeping the shipper SOX compliant and end users happy.
